MES in the cloud, strategy development for Industry 4.0, modular MESAugsburg, 17.10.2017 What is the score of “smart SMEs”? How can manufacturing execution systems (MES) be effectively implemented in manufacturing companies? At Smart MES 2017, one of the leading MES experts gbo datacomp provides answers to these and other key questions about digital transformation in industry. In his presentation, GBO managing director Michael Möller will also address the opportunities and risks of cloud-based MES solutions. This year's Smart MES will take place from November 20 to 21, 2017 at the Kempinski Hotel Bristol in Berlin. Under the motto “Optimizing manufacturing processes through smart software,” over 150 experts from the DACH region are discussing the optimal use of MES solutions with IT and production managers from industry. As an experienced MES system integrator, GBO managing director Möller was invited to discuss the status quo of MES use and digitization to speak in medium-sized companies and to give an outlook on the further development of software-based production. Moeller compares, for example, pre-assembled MES solutions with the flexible, modular approach that gbo datacomp with solutions such as BiSoftMes followed. Möller explains how medium-sized entrepreneurs of all sizes can develop a successful MES or Industry 4.0 strategy. Möller will also report on the currently hotly debated topic of “MES in the Cloud” with regard to medium-sized manufacturing companies and make it clear what (still) desire and what is reality in German manufacturing facilities. Visitors to Smart MES 2017 can also find out about tried and tested MES solutions at the gbo datacomp stand and discuss them with GBO professionals.MES and digitization in SMEs — status quo and outlookMichael Möller, managing director gbo datacomp GmbH
