At the beginning of the year, the MES expert launched a packaging project in South Africa before heading straight to Russia Augsburg, 27.2.2019 Following the strong growth of the last two years, 2019 is already off to a very good start. In particular, the stronger industry focus of the MES provider from Augsburg is very well received by the market. The one in January in particular can be described as very successful. gbo datacomp installed the latest generation in South Africa in the first weeks of the year BiSoftMes in a group that produces flexible packaging and labels. This also makes the new BiSoftMES industry solution Print & Packing represented on the African continent. This project was launched back in autumn 2018. Packaging manufacturers in particular are currently forced to react due to legal changes. The new packaging regulation requires compliance with new standards, the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials, and a high degree of flexibility. Mastering this requires modern software tools, such as an MES. “However, we are also noticing this development in other industries,” continues the MES expert. “More and more medium-sized companies are focusing on the digitization of work and production processes. They are looking for experienced partners who know what is important. And one point that companies are increasingly paying attention to is industry experience,” explains managing director Michael Möller. digitization and the implementation of the requirements of Industry 4.0 must be carried out differently in every sector, as the requirements in companies are simply different. “And this is exactly what we call industry know-how,” explains Möller. “Based on our experience, we know in which sector we need to start where to successfully support companies on their way to Smart Factory.” With BiSoftMES, gbo datacomp ensures the highest quality and stands for optimised manufacturing processes. And it is precisely this expertise that is currently the inspiration for growth and further international projects, because from South Africa, it's almost straight on to Russia for the next BiSoftMes roll-put.Photo caption: Michael Möller, managing director of gbo datacomp GmbH
